– Alternate names: KEDW; Khavinson Pancreatic Bio-regulating Peptide
– Amino acid sequence: Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp, single-letter KEDW-OH
– Molecular formula: C₂₆H₃₆N₆O₉
– Molecular weight: 576.25 Da
– Type: Tetrapeptide (bioregulatory peptide, Khavinson series)
– Form: White freeze-dried powder, for research use only
Pancragen (KEDW) is a synthetic bioregulatory tetrapeptide targeted at the pancreas developed by the Khavinson team. This peptide is artificially synthesized based on research on bovine pancreatic tissue. Its mechanism of action is to regulate the gene expression of pancreatic cells, maintain pancreatic β cells, support pancreatic endocrine and exocrine functions, and the research focuses on glucose homeostasis, metabolism, and protection of pancreatic functions related to aging.
