– Solubility: Easily soluble in BAC (bacterial-inhibited) water / AA (amino acid) sterile water
> The structure contains tryptophan (Trp), which is sensitive to light; store away from light
## Mechanism of Action
GHRP-6 is a ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist; its mechanism of action is independent of GHRH:
1. Activates GHS-R1a in the pituitary and hypothalamus, stimulating pulsatile GH release while simultaneously inhibiting somatostatin
2. Acts on the hypothalamic appetite center; its appetite-stimulating effect is the strongest among the GHRP series
3. Causes a dose-dependent increase in cortisol and prolactin (less selective than Ipamorelin)
4. In the classic synergistic combination of GHRP-6 and GHRH analogs (CJC1295 / Sermorelin), the dual-pathway effect results in a significant amplification of GH release
Research Areas: Studies on feeding behavior, body composition, cardiomyoprotection, fibrosis, and animal models of GH secretion mechanisms
Pharmacokinetics (Research Reference)
– Plasma half-life: 15–60 minutes
– GH peak: Approximately 15–30 minutes after administration; pulsatile release followed by a decline
Reconstitution & Storage (Laboratory Procedures)
1. Solvent: BAC bacteriostatically treated water / AA sterile water
2. Example: 5 mg lyophilized vial + 2 mL BAC water → concentration 2.5 mg/mL
3. Lyophilized powder: Store long-term at -20°C, protected from light and sealed
4. After reconstitution: Refrigerate at 2–8°C; **recommended to use within 2–4 weeks; do not freeze after reconstitution
5. Procedure: Slowly add water along the wall of the vial and gently roll the vial to dissolve; do not shake vigorously, as tryptophan is prone to oxidation; store away from light
Compliance Notice
1. Research-grade GHRP-6 is intended solely for in vitro cell and animal experiments; human use is prohibited
