Mechanism of Action
GHRP-2 belongs to the GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor) agonist class (GHRP growth hormone-releasing peptide family) and targets a completely different receptor from GHRH analogs (Sermorelin/Tesamorelin):
1. Binds to GHS-R1a in the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, powerfully stimulating pulsatile GH release; the intensity of GH release is stronger than that of Ipamorelin
2. Dual action: directly stimulates the pituitary gland to secrete GH; simultaneously inhibits somatostatin, thereby lifting its inhibitory effect on GH
3. It causes a mild increase in cortisol and prolactin; it has an appetite-stimulating effect (weaker than GHRP-6, but far stronger than Ipamorelin)
> Classic research combination: GHRP-2 + GHRH analogs (CJC1295 / Sermorelin); the two exhibit a synergistic effect, significantly amplifying GH release
Pharmacokinetics (for research reference)
– Half-life: Approximately 20–30 minutes after subcutaneous administration
– GH peak: Approximately 15–30 minutes after administration; short pulse release
Reconstitution & Storage (Laboratory Procedures)
1. Solvent: BAC antimicrobial water / AA sterile water
2. Example: 2 mg lyophilized vial + 1 mL BAC water → concentration 2 mg/mL
3. Powder: Store sealed at -20°C, protected from light
4. After reconstitution: Refrigerate at 2–8°C; use within 2–4 weeks; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles
>
> Tryptophan (Trp) is easily oxidized by light; both the powder and the reconstituted solution must be stored away from light
Compliance Notice
1. Research-grade GHRP-2 is intended solely for in vitro and animal experiments; human injection is prohibited
