Target and Mechanism of Action

Target: GHS-R1a (Ghrelin receptor, growth hormone-releasing receptor)

1. Stimulates growth hormone-secreting cells in the pituitary gland, causing pulsatile release of GH, which in turn elevates IGF-1

2. ✅ Key Advantage: High selectivity; compared to the GHRP family, it causes virtually no increase in cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH at research doses (GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 cause significant increases in cortisol)

3. Mechanism of Action: Activates Gq, induces calcium influx, and promotes GH exocytotic release

Pharmacokinetics (Research Data)

– Half-life after subcutaneous administration: ≈2 h

– GH peak: Occurs approximately 15–30 min after administration; the increase in GH persists for 3–6 h

– Classic combination: Ipamorelin + CJC-1295 No DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)

– Ipamorelin (GHSR agonist): Initiates GH secretion

– CJC-1295 No DAC (GHRH analog): Amplifies the GH pulse

The two act synergistically and are the most common combination in GH axis research

Dissolution and Storage (Laboratory Procedures)

1. Dissolution solvent: BAC water (bacteriostatic water); AA sterile acetic acid water may also be used. Inject slowly along the wall of the vial and gently roll to dissolve; avoid vigorous shaking that causes foaming

2. Lyophilized powder: Store long-term at -20°C in a dry, light-protected environment; store short-term at 2–8°C

3. Reconstituted solution: Refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 30 days; do not freeze-thaw repeatedly
